9 Favorite Board Books

Here are some of our favorite board books.

1. Someday by Alison McGhee and Peter H. Reynolds.

"Someday" was given to me as a gift from my mom when I was still pregnant with my daughter. It is a beautiful story about growing up, experiencing life, and a mother's love - something I could not fully appreciate until I became a mom.

2. On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman.

This belongs in every kid's library. Polar bears dance, the wind whispers, and the moon sings - all in celebration of your child’s birth.

4. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault

In Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, rambunctious letters of the alphabet race to the top of a coconut tree, fall down, and keep trying. It teaches rhyming and perseverance and is a fun introduction to the ABCs.

5. Jane Foster's Black and White by Jane Foster

This little book introduces baby to the colors black and white with striking illustrations of animals and flowers all in (you guessed it!) black and white. Although it is super simple, my daughter loves the illustrations.
